Prepping for the Polls: What Employers Need to Know
In 2020, citizens will head to the polls to exercise their rights to vote in US elections. Employers often have questions about voting leave—who is entitled to it; what they are required to provide; whether the leave must be paid; and what they are permitted and prohibited from doing on election day. In this presentation, attendees will learn:
- What Wyoming law says about voting rights
- What are the obligations of an employer
- What federal laws come into play
- What policies does your company/institution have
- What about civic education & voter information
- 2020 elections and the COVID-19 pandemic
