Wyoming Employment & Training Division Overview - Resources Available for the HR Professional

    January 19, 2021

Don't Miss the January 2021 Virtual Meeting!

     At 12:00pm MT

Is the Workforce Center only for Job Seekers? Not at all! The Department of Workforce Services Employment and Training Division offers numerous programs and resources to benefit Wyoming employers and HR professionals as well.

Through the Wagner Peyser program, the Division offers employer services such as job postings, job fairs, and various recruiting methods to connect job seekers to available job openings.

The Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides funding for training or supportive services for qualified individuals to prepare them for high growth/high demand jobs in the area.

The Veterans Employment & Training Program provides additional resources to qualified Veterans for training and job placement assistance.

Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program is available for employers hiring qualified individuals, as an incentive for employing individuals who meet program criteria.

Rapid Response, layoff aversion support.  In the unfortunate event that your business is faced with the decision to reduce its workforce, the Employment and Training division is poised to reduce the impact to your employees, and minimize the number of individuals filing for unemployment, and duration of claims by offering on site and individualized services to employers.
