    Job Summary:

    Core responsibilities of this position include:

    The Human Resources Specialist, Benefits position is a full-time benefitted position within Laramie County Community College (LCCC). This position serves as the primary specialist for the administration of the College’s benefit program. This position is responsible for but not limited to: establishing benefit eligibility; new employee benefit enrollment; processing benefit changes; guidance regarding benefit functions; liaison for benefit vendors; and assists employees with application of various types of leave and/or accommodations. In addition, this position is responsible for processing injury/workers compensation claims; responding to and working towards the resolution of employee concerns and requests; providing status reports; and FMLA requests. All LCCC HR Specialists support the overall department functions through effective customer service, planning, processing, tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem-solving/troubleshooting. This position is responsible for maintaining and applying a contemporary working knowledge of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Affordable Care Act (ACA), Wyoming Wage & Hour, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Department of Human Services (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA),  The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA), and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC),etc., as well as College-specific practices, procedures, policy, etc. This position utilizes appropriate methods to determine compliance with these standards while executing the functions of this position.

    Compensation: This is a fully benefited, Professional 5 position. Starting salary: $58,472-$67, 242.
