Responsible for administration of benefits programs, including processing enrollments and terminations of benefit plan participation such health, life, dental, vision, FSA, EAP, leave of absence, disability, etc. Responsible for monthly audit and approval of billing for all benefits plans. Trains regional and area clerks regarding benefits and answers employee questions.
- Administers weekly 401k contributions and annual two-percent special contribution; coordinates true-up and annual audits.
- Responsible for new employee recruitment including communicating with the hiring manager to obtain necessary requisition information, conducting recruitment, maintaining applicant data base, submitting applications/resume’s to hiring manager as appropriate. May screen candidates for selected positions. Maintains recruitment records as necessary for Affirmative Action requirements.
- Administers HRIS including hires, promotions, transfers, LOA and terminations.
- Administers electronic personnel files.
- Maintains company organization charts.
- Coordinates career fair activities including reservations, promotional items, displays, etc.; represents and promotes company at career fairs.
- Participates in planning new employee orientation and conducts new employee orientation as requested.
- Processes national medical support notices, leave of absence requests, FMLA documents.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Distributes exit questionnaires to terminated employees; maintains data base of results.
- Administers training records data base.
- Administers EEO, Affirmative Action and veteran reporting requirements.
- Assists HR Manager with developing and presenting various HR training programs including interviewing, coaching/counseling, ethics, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment training.
- Administers LRN ethics on-line quarterly training program.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Researches wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate as requested.
- As Editor, assumes responsibility for quarterly company newsletter including design, soliciting, editing and writing articles.
- Prepares annual audits and surveys as directed.
- Coordinates selected recognition programs as directed.
- Responsible for coordinating internship program including recruitment, orientation and program evaluations.
- Maintains accurate information regarding policies, forms and open positions on the company website. Makes changes and updates as needed.
