    SHRM Certification Information

As you may have heard over the past few months, the Society for Human Resources Management has rolled out a new professional certification. This certification is a culmination of more than three years of research and is based on the SHRM Competency Model.  With business expectations of HR continuing to increase, SHRM determined that a new certification was necessary in order to meet these expectations.

What does this mean for HR professionals?
If you do not hold a current HR certification, now is the time to do some research!
Look into SHRM’s SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certifications and determine which one might be best for you.
The first test window is expected to be in mid-2015.

If you DO hold a current HR certification, now is the time to take action!
SHRM recognizes the time and energy you’ve invested in obtaining your existent credentials and their goal is to make earning the new SHRM Certification as simple as is reasonably possible to enjoy continued success.
If you are currently certified, you can receive the new SHRM Certification by participating in a short tutorial, free of charge. The sooner you do this, the better.

SHRM expects this certification to become the new standard for HR professionals around the globe, as it is among the first HR certifications that is focused on teaching and testing the practical, real-life information HR professionals need to excel in their careers today.
