Strategies for Managing Difficult Conversations
Do you need to have a tough conversation with a co-worker? How about a difficult topic to bring up with a friend? We are all tempted to put these conversations off, but we generally find that the longer we wait, the harder it gets. Utilizing some skills that mediators use and some ideas on preparation, we’ll talk about a strategy for successfully managing a difficult conversation.

Lucy Pauley manages the program that provides mediation, technical review teams (TRT’s) and other alternative dispute resolution services for individuals and organizations involved in a wide variety of conflicts including farm credit, grazing permits, split estate disputes, neighbor/neighbor conflicts, ag family issues and more. Lucy also hosts training in mediation, facilitation, conflict management and more.
