Our February Topic - A.L.I.C.E. - Response to Active Shooter Events

ALICE is an option based approach to active shooter events.  It is based upon: Alert, Lockdown,  Inform, Counter, Evacuate  The class will explore these options and go through scenarios based upon real life events.  It will prepare students with the ability to respond to the event with options outside the traditional lockdown procedure based upon the situation encountered.

The potential active shooter provides an organizational and safety risk that HR can play a key role in mitigating.  Response to active shooter events can involve many options.  Through this interactive presentation participants will use critical evaluation skills to determine the best way(s) to share this information with employees, customers, stakeholders and articulate how relationship management; managing and resolving conflicts; and building relationship plays into proactive and reactive response. It is up to the individual to choose the option best suited to their situation.
