The Other Job Hat... The Hardhat

Often times in HR roles, you are the default “Other Duties as Assigned” – which often includes creating and managing Workplace Safety Training and Employee Safety Campaigns. The Wyoming Montana Safety Council understands and is here to help! This presentation will cover what to do and where to go when safety management is thrust upon you; training, education, and managing the opioid epidemic as it relates to the workplace; and tools and resources for driver safety both on the job and at home. Skills HR Professionals will learn from this event?  Each attendee will leave withintroductory knowledge of resources available for creating and managing a safety program, an opioids in the workplace and distracted driving toolkit, and a variety of training and education materials on all subjects.

     Speaker

Carole Boughton – Wyoming Montana Safety Council

Before coming to work for WMSC, Carole served on the WMSC Board of Directors, including as the President. Carole holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Wyoming and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Legal Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. She and her husband, Johnny, make their home in Cheyenne with their 4-legged “fur-child”, Buddy. Carole’s son Erik attends Central Wyoming College in Riverton, Wyoming and is majoring in New Media. As avid sports fans, the family enjoys attending and watching a variety of sports and always rooting for the Pokes!
