    HR Expert Panel

A four-panel HR lineup will address various HR questions:

    • What are the new Department of Labor regulations regarding breastfeeding mothers who want to pump during work?
    • What should be included in policy manuals regarding social media, use of cell phones and time spent on Facebook?
    • How do you feel about telework policies? We are getting more employees that want this, but our organization has never supported it before.
    • What is your perception on 4-day work weeks? Is it beneficial to an organization? Does it really make employees happy? Is this the same for exempt and non-exempt employees?
    • What are your recommendations to an HR professional that has an office/department that does not want to include HR when dealing with personnel matters? The HR professional finds out later that the manager disciplined or wrote the employee up and you as the HR professional would have done something different.
    • What are your thoughts about outsourcing all training(s) of employees versus HR conducting trainings. Sexual Harassment, FLSA training, Change Management, ADA and Disabilities in the workplace, etc.

This panel will offer attendees the opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of, experts on a variety of HR topics. This meeting will assist member in updating employee handbooks or other policy documents and provide information to train employees and managers on and assisting with coaching/disciplining of staff. Additionally, we hope that the participants choose to continue the discussion and network with other HR professionals that are dealing with similar issues in their organizations.
