Harassment Prevention in the #MeToo Era: Best Practices & Scenarios
#MeToo shined a bright light on the worst kinds of sexual harassment, and piqued awareness about the wide range of inappropriate workplace conduct. But has #MeToo’s unmasking of thirty years’ of bad conduct caused employers to focus too heavily on the end result of bad workplace behavior, rather than the foundational behavior that leads to harassment claims? This presentation will review the key behavioral elements of harassment and what those look like in a working environment, as well as traditional and novel methods of addressing those behaviors.
