    PROGRAM:

Luncheon and 1/2 Day Learning Seminar                           Sponsored by Regis University College for Professional Studies

    Wyoming Department of Workforce Services:

During her session on the Multigenerational Workplace, Dr. Ann Reyes will help us answer the following the questions: What is a Multigenerational workforce, and why does it matter? What do these questions mean for leaders in the workforce?

Participants will gain an introductory understanding of the four generations working side-by-side in our workforce, how the generations interact and what we already know about how this impacts the workplace. Participants will also understand how each generation's (Traditionalists/Slient; Boomers (Early and Late); Gen X/Xers; Gen Y/Millennial) preferred style evolved out of their shared life experience; compare and contrast the values and the potential outcomes of generational interaction; consider and identify potential problems for an organization when people from different gernerations fail to communicate effectively; compare and identify differing feedback styles and their impact; and an introduction to strategies for effective cross-generational communication.

    Labor Brain:

Come join us for an informative session on labor law compliance with former federal investigator Kalen Fraser. We'll learn why Wage & Hour investigations are initiated and what employers can expect if their business is targeted. We'll also take an in depth look at three of the most problematic areas of FLSA compliance: hours worked, tricky overtime calculations, and deductions from salaried exempt employees. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to get an insider's perspective on federal labor law enforement and to learn how it can affect your business.
